A large, iridescent light streaked through the southern California sky Friday evening, leaving a trail of orbs in its wake. Residents speculated that it was everything from a UFO to a nuclear attack.
The phenomenon turned out to be a SpaceX satellite launch from Vandenberg Air Force Base.
