On Friday a Chinese Long March 3B rocket booster fell from the sky and exploded on impact outside of a town in China. The rocket was launched from Xichang Satellite Launch Center in the southwestern province of Sichuan at 7:18 a.m. According to the Chinese Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, the launch sent twin navigation satellites into space. Locals in the drop zone for the launch were prepared to capture footage of the booster’s return to earth.
